Project Operations Support
About Oyster Heaven
At Oyster Heaven, we don’t just restore oysters, we rebuild entire ecosystems. Our oyster reefs filter water, stabilize coasts and bring marine life back to where it belongs.
We’re creating scalable, science-backed marine infrastructure that grows stronger over time - financially sustainable, ecologically effective, and engineered for impact.
About the role
You’ll be part of a small, hands-on team working on the frontlines of marine restoration. From running hatchery systems to implementing process improvements, you ensure that every step (from data collection to daily operations) contributes to restoring healthy oyster reefs.
This is a role with both freedom and responsibility. You bring structure, curiosity, and initiative to a mission that’s as complex as it is meaningful.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a central role in making sure our day-to-day operations run smoothly across our hatchery and settlement sites. From setting up and running experimental systems to collecting and maintaining high-quality data, you ensure that every activity aligns with established protocols and project timelines. Precision and structure are part of your daily rhythm: you log progress, monitor performance, and maintain detailed operational records that help us work efficiently and transparently.
Working closely with the science and restoration teams, you translate R&D outcomes into practical, on-the-ground improvements. You’ll help document, refine, and optimise standard operating procedures so that our work can scale consistently across locations. As we test and adopt new technologies or methods, you play an active role in integrating them into our hatchery and field operations.
In addition to operational duties, you provide essential administrative and quality support. You keep documentation clear and accessible, contribute to reports that capture our progress and lessons learned, and maintain positive relationships with contractors and partners to ensure everything runs to plan. Above all, you bring structure, initiative, and problem-solving energy to a team that thrives on collaboration and purpose.

About you
You’ll be part of a purpose-driven team working on tangible ocean restoration impact. No day will look the same: some are spent on-site, others improving systems, and others translating operations into measurable outcomes.
If you’re energised by structure, collaboration, and the idea of helping ecosystems recover. This role gives you the chance to make your mark, not just on projects, but on the planet.
